It is expected that the reopening of the internet will be implemented starting tomorrow.
Iranian media reported that after the approval and issuance of the resolution to return the internet to its state before December 2025 by Masoud Pezeshkian, it is expected that the implementation of this order will begin on Tuesday.
Ehsan Chitsaz, Deputy for Policy and Planning in ICT Development and Digital Economy at the Ministry of Communications, confirmed the issuance of this resolution and said, ‘We have gone through a difficult and costly path at this moment because we believed that the internet is a right of the people that should be returned to them.’
He also described the internet as the oxygen of the digital economy, the lifeline of hope for the younger generation, and the pillar of public trust, and added that no nation connects to the future by cutting off communication.
Chitsaz further stated that the President, the First Vice President, and the Minister of Communications have opened a window towards stability, rationality, and the future with this decision.
It was previously reported that the Special Committee for Organizing Cyberspace, with a majority vote, approved the return of international internet to its state before the restrictions of December 2025.
