Reuters: France has banned Israeli officials from attending the Paris arms exhibition
The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that France has prohibited Israeli government officials from attending the Eurosatory international arms exhibition in Paris and has also imposed restrictions on Israeli companies participating in this event.
In response, the French Ministry of Defense stated that Israeli companies will only be allowed to showcase equipment and technologies related to air defense and missile defense, but did not provide an explanation for these restrictions.
A spokesperson for the Israeli Ministry of Defense described this decision as shameful and claimed that it was made with political and commercial motivations.
Relations between France and Israel have faced increasing tensions since late 2023, following disputes over the wars in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as Israeli and American attacks on Iran.
The Eurosatory exhibition is considered one of the largest defense industry exhibitions in the world and this year it starts in Paris on June 15 with the participation of over 2,600 companies from various countries.
