Katz: America supports an attack on Dahieh if Lebanese militia forces attack
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that if Lebanese militia forces continue their attacks on northern Israel, America will support an Israeli attack on Dahieh in southern Beirut.
According to a statement from the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Katz announced at a conference that the Israeli government and military are implementing new measures, and if Israeli cities are targeted, the military will attack Dahieh, which is considered the main base of Lebanese militia forces in Beirut.
He also claimed that the United States has approved this approach and conveyed it to the Lebanese government and other related parties.
These statements come as U.S. President Donald Trump said a few hours ago that he had asked Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from attacking Dahieh, and the Israeli Prime Minister has accepted this request.
