CENTCOM rejects the IRGC’s claim about the attack on the Al-Tanf base
The United States Central Command, CENTCOM, on Friday rejected the IRGC’s claim about an attack on the Al-Tanf base in Syria and the killing of American forces.
In a statement on the X network, CENTCOM announced that this claim is false and added that none of the American forces stationed in the area have been killed or captured in recent days.
The IRGC had claimed a few hours earlier that it targeted the Special Operations Command Center of American forces at the Al-Tanf base and that a number of American forces were killed in this attack.
At the same time, Iranian media published a statement by Majid Mousavi, the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, stating that the IRGC attacks will continue until calm returns to the southern coastline and the Strait of Hormuz.
Over the past six days, the United States has continuously targeted military positions and some infrastructure in various parts of Iran, including ports and southern islands, in response to Iran’s attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
In return, Iran has also carried out attacks against U.S. bases and some infrastructure in several countries in the region.
