The European Union and 26 countries condemned the human rights situation in Iran in a statement.
The European Union and 26 other countries issued a joint statement condemning the execution of protesters in Iran and urged Tehran to take meaningful actions to ensure the observance of human rights.
According to Reuters, the signatories of this statement also called for the immediate halt of the use of the death penalty and the release of individuals who they say have been arbitrarily detained.
Jean-Yves Le Drian, the French Foreign Minister, announced the release of this joint statement on Wednesday.
