Putin threatens Europe with reciprocal seizure of ships
Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, warned that if European countries continue to seize commercial ships linked to Russia, Moscow will take similar action against European ships.
Speaking during a Russian naval exercise in the Far East, Putin described the actions of European countries against Russian ships as piracy and banditry, and said that Russia would retaliate wherever it deems appropriate if necessary.
This warning comes as the European Union has increased pressure on the so-called Russian shadow fleet, which, according to Western countries, is used to circumvent oil sanctions.
