Russia dismissed the request by Scott Bassent, the US Treasury Secretary, for countries to stop supporting the Islamic Republic and to distance themselves from Iran
Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said on Thursday that Russia will maintain and further expand its relations with its partners and friends
He also emphasized that the US is not in a position to decide on the relations of other countries; Peskov’s remarks were in response to Washington’s warning about imposing broader sanctions against Iran
