We Have Not Left the Negotiation Table; America Insists on Unilateral Demands

Baghaei: We have not left the negotiating table, the US insists on unilateral demands

Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, in an interview with Germany’s ARD network, said messages are being conveyed through intermediaries and that Iran is prepared to defend its territory while pursuing diplomacy. He identified the problem in negotiations as Washington’s insistence on unilateral demands and denied any connection between Iran and the alleged operations against air bases in the UK. Baghaei also held the US and Israel responsible for the insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that as long as the region is used for military actions against Iran, Tehran will take necessary measures to protect its territorial integrity, national security, and its people.
