Ghalibaf’s jab at Lana Nusseibeh’s candidacy for UN Secretary-General: A fox becomes the guardian of the henhouse
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, reacting to the announcement of Lana Nusseibeh, the former UAE representative to the UN, for the position of Secretary-General of the organization, accused her of supporting Israeli policies. The Speaker of the Parliament claimed on the X network that this candidacy aims to pave the diplomatic path for the Greater Israel project and to whitewash genocide. He sarcastically wrote that the fox updates its LinkedIn profile to apply for the job of guarding the henhouse. Ghalibaf also released parts of an old interview with Nusseibeh defending the normalization of relations and cooperation between the UAE and Israel.
