Araqchi: Currently, we have no plans to meet with American officials

Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the message from U.S. Vice President Mike Pence has been carefully reviewed and discussed in high-level meetings.

Araqchi described Washington’s efforts to create a dialogue and understanding as a positive step but warned that if the U.S.’s intention in sending this message is to create division, it has made another mistake.

He concluded by emphasizing that at present, there are no plans for a meeting with American officials, and the news about such a meeting is merely media speculation.
