Baghaei: Iran and Oman negotiations on the Strait of Hormuz continue

Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced the continuation of negotiations between Iran and Oman to organize safe shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

Baghaei stated that these negotiations are being conducted as consultations between the two coastal countries of the Strait of Hormuz, focusing on determining safe routes for the passage of ships, while considering the sovereign rights and national security considerations of both countries.

He added that the talks at technical and political levels have been positively evaluated so far, and Iran, in cooperation with Oman, is in the process of developing the necessary mechanisms to manage future shipping traffic in this strategic passage. According to him, the final results of the negotiations will be announced after the conclusion.
