Bank Tejarat Has Not Yet Decided to Buy Esteghlal

Bank Tejarat has not yet decided on buying Esteghlal.

The name of Bank Tejarat, which has been repeatedly mentioned as the buyer of the 51% share block of Esteghlal over the past two weeks, has for the first time commented today in response to the publishers’ office, which monitors the health of transactions, about the potential purchase.

In a signed letter, it is written that negotiations have been conducted with various banks in the country regarding the purchase of shares in the Esteghlal and Persepolis clubs, and Bank Tejarat has not yet reached a specific conclusion on buying Esteghlal’s shares. If a decision is made in this regard, it will inform its shareholders.

The Esteghlal and Persepolis clubs have until early May to resolve the issue of their joint ownership and upload the relevant documents to the Asian Football Confederation system to be able to participate in the next season of the elite league or the second tier of the Champions League with a professional license.
