Bankipour, a member of the parliament, has reached a conclusion regarding fines for improper hijab.
Bankipour, a member of parliament, stated on a TV program on Isfahan’s network that the discussion I had on the Freedom Street program on Ofogh network was comprehensive. However, if you seek the truth from opposition media like International and VOA, yes, they know how to cut a sentence and cause concern in society.
Regarding people on the streets, those who wear revealing clothes or are completely without hijab will face legal action and enforcement of the law.
Our society is a modest one, even women with less strict hijab express their objection loudly, questioning the offensive appearance of some individuals in public.
In dealing with violations, we had three options in the law. One was the previous method, meaning the morality police, which everyone opposed because it involved direct confrontation with individuals.
Another method was judicial handling, where everyone would be directly referred to the court, which was also not a correct approach as it would create numerous criminal cases.
The remaining method was fines, and all the elements of the system concluded that it should be implemented through fines. The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, the Supreme National Security Council, the judiciary, the executive branch, the parliament, and the Guardian Council, all organizations agreed.
