Baqai: The UK is not in a position to intervene in Iran's nuclear program

Baghaei says the UK is not in a position to interfere in Iran’s nuclear program

Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, criticized David Lammy’s remarks on Monday, August 3, about Iran’s government being a threat and the high percentage of uranium enrichment.

The UK Foreign Secretary had said two days earlier that Iran’s 60% uranium enrichment has no civilian justification and that the Islamic Republic is a real threat.

In his weekly press conference, Baghaei said David Lammy is not in a position to comment on Iran’s nuclear program.

The UK, along with Germany and France, as the three European parties to the JCPOA, have warned that if there is no progress in nuclear negotiations, they will activate the snapback mechanism in early September.
