Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region: We will not allow the region's land to be used to harm Iran

Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region, says we will not allow the region’s territory to be used to harm Iran.

Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, said after meeting with Masoud Pezeshkian that under no circumstances will we allow the region’s territory to be used to harm the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Barzani stated that the people and government of the Kurdistan Region are pleased with the presence of Mr. President. We have many commonalities with Iran.

He added that Mr. Pezeshkian’s visit as the first Iranian president to Erbil is historic for us.

Barzani, expressing readiness to elevate the level of relations, said that in the meetings, we emphasized advancing relations and security issues.
