Bashar al-Assad must stop producing chemical weapons.
August 21 marks the anniversary of the catastrophic chemical attack by Bashar al-Assad’s forces on the people of Ghouta near Damascus. As a result of this tragic attack, 1,400 Syrians were killed, a significant number of whom were children. Western officials, in remembrance of the anniversary of this incident, have once again called on Bashar al-Assad to destroy his chemical weapons arsenal and to cease all activities related to the production of chemical weapons.
