Behrouz Afkhami, the brother-in-law of Imam Khomeini, said he had aged and lacked sexual desire.
Behrouz Afkhami, a film director, mentions that in the mid-1980s, after some clerics and even relatives of Imam Khomeini objected to a TV series called ‘Autumn of Sahra’ due to the provocative presence of female actors, Imam Khomeini only criticized the absence of female makeup artists for the actresses.
He further stated that this stance faced opposition, and even a brother-in-law of Imam Khomeini said that he had aged and lacked sexual desire, hence he did not object.
This television program was broadcast on the night of June 3rd by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, where other memories of Imam Khomeini’s and other clerics’ interventions in television programming and series were shared.
The series ‘Autumn of Sahra’ was aired in 1986 on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, featuring Jamileh Sheikhi, Shahla Mirbakhtiar, and Jamshid Mashayekhi.
