Belgium Demands Explanation from Tehran Regarding Espionage on Its Soil

Belgium requested an explanation from Tehran regarding espionage on its soil

The Belgian Foreign Minister, who was forced for the fourth time to explain to the country’s representatives about issuing a visa to Alireza Zakani, announced that they have asked Iran to explain about the espionage by Zakani’s accompanying team on the opposition of the Islamic Republic on Belgian soil.

On the evening of Thursday, June 29, Hadja Lahbib stated in the Belgian parliament that she has requested the country’s internal security organization to investigate the actions of the Iranian delegation accompanying Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, in Brussels.

She said that two individuals who showed particular interest in the demonstrations of the opponents of the Islamic Republic in Brussels and were busy taking pictures were tracked by the police and it was determined that they were part of the Iranian delegation.
