Benjamin Netanyahu: Military action is the best way to curb Iran’s ambitions
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, has stated that a credible military threat or action is the best way to deter Iran from its nuclear ambitions, but the longer it is delayed, the harder it becomes to execute.
According to the Jerusalem Post, speaking at the Hartog National Security Conference in Tel Aviv, he said the only reliable way to prevent rogue countries from developing nuclear weapons is through a credible military threat or a credible military action.
He added that this can be combined with crippling economic sanctions, but this is not a sufficient condition. The necessary and often sufficient condition is credible military action.
In this meeting, he told Walter Russell Mead, a columnist for the Wall Street Journal, the longer you wait, the harder it becomes. We have waited too long.
