Biden: Putin does not intend to use nuclear weapons
Joe Biden, the President of the United States, said early Thursday that despite Russia’s decision to suspend the last remaining arms control treaty with Washington, Moscow does not intend to use nuclear weapons. In response to media questions, Biden explained that he is confident Washington and Moscow can resolve the issue related to arms control despite Russian President Vladimir Putin’s order to suspend his country’s participation in the New START treaty. According to Sputnik news agency, he stated on this matter, ‘I’m not sure what else he could have said during his speech, but I think suspending participation in the START is a mistake, and I’m sure we can fix it.’
