Bill Gates’ youngest daughter becomes a leader in online shopping with AI
Bill Gates’ youngest daughter has successfully completed a new round of fundraising and has turned her AI-based shopping startup into one of the most popular projects in the tech industry.
According to Bloomberg, Phoebe Gates is raising $30 million for Phia, an AI-based shopping assistant that she co-founded with her Stanford classmate, Sophia Kianni.
Among the prominent investors in this project are names like Hailey Bieber, Kris Jenner, Sheryl Sandberg, and Sara Blakely, a rare combination for a company less than a year old.
Phoebe Gates told Vogue that Bill Gates has not invested in the company but has publicly supported its mission.
Phia presents itself as the AI answer to the chaos of online shopping, a market where consumers spend a lot of time finding discounts and brands show their ads to the wrong people.
The company is developing an AI search engine that can be used on Chrome desktop and Safari mobile, allowing users to search, compare prices, and track flash discounts.
