Multi-billion Euro Tax and Penalty for Apple and Google

The European Supreme Court has issued a ruling requiring the two major American technology giants to pay billions of euros in back taxes and fines that they have so far avoided settling.

Through this ruling, Europe emerged victorious in the multi-billion Euro legal battle against the smartphone maker Apple and the giant company Google, which owns the largest internet search engine.

According to the ruling issued by the European Union Court of Justice on Tuesday, Google has been fined over 2 billion euros for violating anti-monopoly laws, and Apple is also required to pay 13 billion euros (143 billion dollars) in back taxes to the European Union.
