Blinken accuses Russia of attacking the global food system at the UN Security Council

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday accused Russia of blackmailing over the Black Sea grain deal, which it withdrew from in July, in front of the UN Security Council.

He also stated that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last year sparked an attack on the global food system.

He said every member of this council, every member of the United Nations, should tell Moscow: enough is enough. Enough with using the Black Sea grain deal for blackmail. Enough with holding the most vulnerable people on the planet hostage. Enough with this unjustified and unacceptable war against Ukraine.
