Blinken meets with ministers from several Arab countries in Jordan
Antony Blinken, who is heading to Jordan empty-handed after his trip to Israel, will meet and talk today, Saturday, October 4th, in Amman with King Abdullah II of this country and ministers from several Arab countries.
The US Secretary of State previously tried to pressure Israeli officials during a meeting to accept a humanitarian pause to facilitate aid to civilians in Gaza, but Benjamin Netanyahu did not accept this request and emphasized that he would not agree to a ceasefire before the hostages are released.
Antony Blinken arrived in Amman on Friday evening, and according to Jordanian officials, he is scheduled to meet with the king and the foreign minister of this country and participate in a meeting of ministers from several Arab countries in Amman.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday evening the holding of a meeting in Amman with the presence of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, along with representatives from Jordan and the United States.
It is said that the United States is seeking to find an immediate solution in coordination with regional Arab countries to end the war and outline a process leading to peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
