Blinken’s Trip to Egypt

Antony Blinken, the U.S. Secretary of State, traveled to Israel on Sunday, August 19, for the ninth time since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip.

According to the French news agency, Blinken will meet separately on Monday with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister, Yoav Gallant, the Defense Minister, and Isaac Herzog, the President of France.

Continuing this trip, Blinken will travel to Egypt on Tuesday. He is set to discuss the ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas with Egyptian leaders. The continuation of the new round of ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas is scheduled to take place in Cairo in the coming days.
