Bloomberg: Strengthening Israel’s relations with Saudi Arabia to counter Iran
Bloomberg wrote that according to several sources, the new Israeli government, with U.S. support, has intensified negotiations with Saudi Arabia to develop military and intelligence relations due to concerns about Iran.
Officials from both governments held review meetings before the U.S.-Gulf Cooperation Council security and defense working group meeting.
These meetings are confidential, and the next sessions are scheduled to take place in Prague concurrently with the Munich Conference.
Dana Stroul, the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East, who was in Riyadh on Monday, said that contact and dialogue between other regional countries and Israel is beneficial for the region’s stability and security.
