Brazil has embarked on a new path
Lula da Silva, the elected President of Brazil who has returned to this position by winning the presidential election, is gradually announcing his intended policies, and there are serious hopes for changing the course of domestic and international politics of this country.
Brazil is one of the most important countries in the Americas and one of the vital players in the global economy and trade, with the supply of many goods and food products being dependent on it.
On the other hand, one of the most significant issues that have put Brazil on the world stage is the Amazon rainforest, known as the lungs of the Earth. Deforestation and extreme destruction in the Amazon during Bolsonaro’s era, along with Brazil’s near cessation of cooperation with international organizations on climate change, had created serious concerns.
Now, Lula da Silva is in the process of bringing Brazil back to the forefront of the fight against climate change and is reviving his country’s commitments to protect the Amazon. Most importantly, he has announced that he wants Brazil and the Amazon to host a major summit of leaders to combat climate change in the coming years.
