Brazilian President Urges the US to Stop Encouraging War and Focus on Peace

The President of Brazil urges the US to stop encouraging war and focus on peace

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the President of Brazil, has stated that the United States should stop encouraging war in Ukraine and talk about peace.

During an official visit to China, he told reporters that Washington and the European Union should talk about peace instead of supplying weapons. Mr. Lula da Silva said such a change could help persuade Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to end the war.

Brazil and China have presented themselves as potential mediators in the conflict, and neither country has imposed sanctions against Russia.
