Britain’s security depends on the outcome of the war in Ukraine
In an updated version of the country’s foreign and security policy principles published on Monday, March 13, the British government described China as a defining challenge and stated that Britain’s security depends on the outcome of the war in Ukraine.
This new assessment, which underpins the British government’s security and international policies, warns about the deepening relations between China and Russia and the expansion of cooperation between Moscow and the Islamic Republic of Iran following the military invasion of Ukraine.
Rishi Sunak, the British Prime Minister, said that due to developments over the past two years, the framework of the country’s security and international policies, which was first established about two years ago, has been reviewed.
