The British Chargé d’Affaires was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry
In protest against the continued accusations by British officials against the Islamic Republic, the British Chargé d’Affaires was summoned to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The head of the Third Western Europe Department in this meeting described the British claims as a continuation of the policy of Iranophobia and demanded an end to this unfriendly approach by Britain. He also described the new British sanctions as politically motivated, stating that a country which has imposed the harshest discrimination and injustices on immigrants and Muslims and forcibly transfers asylum seekers to Rwanda against international laws is not in a position to speak about human rights.
