The Burial of Ebrahim Rigi in Zahedan

Ebrahim Rigi, a 24-year-old Baluch citizen who died after being detained at Police Station 12 in Zahedan, was buried on Friday evening. The Twitter platform Hal Vash reported that his body, which bore many signs of beating and bruising, was buried in the Mohammad Rasulullah Cemetery.

Hal Vash also shared an image of protesters on a protest Friday, holding a placard with the message: ‘They killed Mahsa, Nika, and Khodanour, not realizing they were seeds.’

Local sources report a continued heavy security atmosphere in Zahedan. Despite the siege of Makki Mosque and the dense presence of military and security forces in the city, with snipers positioned on rooftops, the Friday prayers on the 5th of Esfand were held, and people once again took to the streets.
