Canadian Prime Minister Arrives in the US Following Tariff Tensions

The Prime Minister of Canada arrived in the United States following tariff tensions.

Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, met with Donald Trump, the President of the United States, at the White House on Tuesday, May 6th.

This meeting took place after Washington imposed extensive tariffs on Canadian imports.

Donald Trump said after the meeting that Carney was losing, but ultimately won. Canada has chosen a truly talented person.

We share many viewpoints.

The President of the United States added that we will probably resume negotiations on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. We will be friends with Canada, and I have great respect for Canadians. The Canada-U.S. border is artificial.
