The Cyber Police of the capital arrested a drug seller who was extending the expiration dates of medicines.
Colonel Davood Moazami Goudarzi, the head of the Cyber Police of the capital, stated that in the fight against unauthorized drug sellers in cyberspace, through monitoring and surveillance conducted by the experts of this police, an Instagram page with more than 10,000 followers that was selling various rare and scarce drugs was identified.
He pointed out that the suspect had changed the expiration dates of the drugs by printing fake labels and stated that the criminal, after being transferred to the Cyber Police, confessed to selling expired and outdated drugs under the guise of rare and scarce drugs.
Goudarzi added that the Cyber Police, with its continuous and round-the-clock monitoring in cyberspace, will deal with those who sell such items in this space according to the law.
The head of the Greater Tehran Cyber Police, announcing that the buying and selling of pharmaceutical products without a license in cyberspace is prohibited, advised citizens that considering the possibility of fake and expired drugs being offered in cyberspace, it is better to obtain and purchase any drugs and hygiene products from pharmacies or health centers.
