Capital's Intelligence Police Requested Automakers to Equip Cars with Trackers

The Capital’s Criminal Investigation Police requested automakers to equip vehicles with trackers.

The head of the Capital’s Criminal Investigation Police stated that we have regular meetings regarding the safety and security of vehicles with domestic automakers, and in these meetings, we have asked them to equip vehicles with trackers.

On Wednesday, Commander Ali Valipour Goudarzi, on the sidelines of the exhibition on the arrest of vehicle thieves and receivers of stolen goods, told reporters about enhancing vehicle safety, adding that in our regular meetings with domestic automakers, which the Tehran governor also attends, we present our opinions and views to address vehicle defects. In this regard, the production of some vehicles that lacked the necessary security and safety has been halted.

The head of the Capital’s Criminal Investigation Police added that the use of electronic devices and equipment in vehicles is a good solution to prevent car thefts and can provide a good lead for finding the vehicle after theft.
