CENTCOM Announces Formation of First Multinational Attack Drone Force

CENTCOM announces the formation of the first multinational strike drone force

The United States Central Command, CENTCOM, announced that it has begun the process of forming the first multinational and multi-domain strike drone unit named Falcon Strike.

According to CENTCOM, this force will utilize one-way strike drones and unmanned aerial, surface, and subsurface maritime systems, and will include forces from the U.S. and regional partner countries. Consultations and official invitations to regional countries to join this force have also begun.

CENTCOM announced that Falcon Strike is being formed based on the experience of the Scorpion Strike unit, which was launched nine months ago and used strike drones during the conflict with Iran. This unit also utilized unmanned strike vessels in the July attacks on Iranian port facilities.

Brad Cooper, the commander of CENTCOM, stated that the aim of forming this force is to integrate new capabilities of the U.S. and regional partners and to create a multinational structure for deploying strike drones in the region.
