CENTCOM is investigating the cause of the Apache helicopter crash off the coast of Oman
The United States Central Command, CENTCOM, announced that the two occupants of the Apache helicopter that crashed near the coast of Oman have been rescued and the cause of the incident is still under investigation
According to a CENTCOM statement, this AH-64 Apache helicopter crashed early Monday while patrolling near the coast of Oman, and the rescue operation for its occupants was successfully completed about two hours later
CENTCOM announced that the physical condition of both occupants is stable, but the cause of the crash has not yet been determined
Earlier, the New York Times reported, citing informed sources, that a U.S. Army Apache attack helicopter crashed near the Strait of Hormuz and its two occupants were rescued
That report also emphasized that it is still unclear whether the helicopter crashed due to Iranian forces’ fire, a technical malfunction, or another factor
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, had also previously confirmed the occurrence of this incident
