The CEO of the Central Livestock Union: Profiteers Raised Meat Prices

The CEO of the Central Livestock Union said profiteers have increased the price of meat

Afshin Sadr Dadras, CEO of the Central Light Livestock Union, in response to a question about the impact of imports on prices, said: ‘Well, field inspections confirm whether imports have affected prices or not. In my opinion, it cannot be very effective right now. With the explanations and reports you provided and the expansion of distribution volume in Tehran and other major cities, hopefully, they can control this tension.’

Let me also point out that while it is true that the price of live livestock has increased, leading to higher meat prices in the market, the main tension we are experiencing in the market is not due to the price of live livestock. Unfortunately, the profiteering occurring in the market has exacerbated this tension.
