Chad Government Expels German Ambassador from the Country

The government of Chad expelled the German ambassador in the country.

The German ambassador in Chad must leave the country within 48 hours. The government, without providing further details, deemed the German ambassador as an undesirable person and ordered his expulsion from the country.

In a statement, the government of Chad has asked Gordon Kricke, the German ambassador in the country, to leave its territory within 48 hours.

The government of this 17-million-strong nation stated that the reason for this action was the undiplomatic behavior and lack of respect for diplomatic customs by the German ambassador.

However, the lack of further explanation led to a reaction from the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin. This institution said that the reasons provided by the Chadian government officials for this action are completely incomprehensible to us, and we are in contact with the authorities of this government regarding the matter.
