The Chamber of Commerce President: We lost $100 billion due to not selling oil

The head of the Chamber of Commerce said we lost $100 billion due to not selling oil.

Khansari stated that inflation in recent years has been around 30 to 40 percent, and the value of the national currency declines daily due to inflation. On the other hand, we are facing the issue of reduced social capital.

The hope that remains for us is digital transformation, which can compensate for our setbacks.

The head of Tehran’s Chamber of Commerce, while stating that not selling oil has caused more than $100 billion in damage to Iran’s economy, said the growth of the petrochemical industry is significant. In 1978, the production of petrochemical products was about 3 million tons, and in 2018 it was about 80 million, and we hope to reach 133 million tons by 2025.
