China’s strong objection due to the German Minister of Science’s visit to Taiwan

The German Minister of Science’s visit to Taiwan has prompted a direct objection from China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit of Bettina Stark-Watzinger, the Minister of Science of the Federal Republic of Germany, to Taiwan has elicited a protest from Chinese government officials.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its diplomatic objection by sending a note to the German embassy in Beijing, the capital of China, to inform the German government.

On Tuesday, March 21st, the ministry announced that China is firmly opposed to the official visit of the German Minister of Science to Taiwan.
