Chinese leader’s visit to Moscow begins second day of talks

Xi Jinping, the leader of China, and Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, are preparing to hold the second day of discussions in Moscow aimed at strengthening relations between the countries.

The leaders of the two countries talked for more than four hours on Monday and referred to each other as dear friends.

Xi Jinping, the President of China, has traveled to Moscow for the first time since Russia’s extensive invasion of Ukraine last year, and in his first remarks at the airport, he stated that Russia is a reliable partner for his country.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that developing relations with Russia is a strategic choice based on Beijing’s fundamental interests. Mr. Putin has said that he has thoroughly examined Mr. Xi’s ideas for ending the war in Ukraine.
