Chinese Police Stations This Time in Canada
While various reports about the covert security and law enforcement presence of Chinese police and intelligence forces outside of China to control Chinese citizens are becoming increasingly concerning, as we previously reported,
Europeans are seriously investigating the transformation of administrative and citizen service offices of the Chinese government in these countries into security offices controlling Chinese citizens. The Netherlands is one of the latest countries to report the identification of such offices. Now, the Canadian federal government has also announced that it takes reports about the existence of such structures in its country and the harassment and threats against Chinese citizens by officials responsible in these structures seriously, and investigations into such offices in Canada have begun.
