The Iranian Cinema House warned in a statement that if the threats and arrests do not end and the detained filmmakers are not released, it will ask its members to go on strike, refrain from participating in cinema and television projects, and stage a sit-in at the Cinema Organization.
The statement mentioned that efforts to release the detained filmmakers have so far been unfruitful, and in recent days, new summons and arrests have also taken place.

The Cinema House emphasized that it considers the charges such as acting against national security, disturbing public opinion, spreading falsehoods, and collaborating with foreign media, which have been attributed to filmmakers, to be unfounded.
In the latest incident, Hengameh Ghaziani and Katayoun Riahi, two actresses who appeared in front of the camera without mandatory hijab, were arrested. Since the start of the nationwide protests, a large number of filmmakers, actors, and prominent cultural and artistic figures have been summoned or arrested.
