The claim by the President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences about the dismissal of 40 professors is false
The President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences denied the news of the dismissal of 40 professors from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and provided explanations regarding the claims made about the retirement of some professors at this university.
Hossein Qanati, regarding the claims made by Reza Malekzadeh, a faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, about the dismissal or retirement of approximately 40 professors from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, stated that in the past two and a half years, we have not had any dismissals at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and this is a false news that has unfortunately been spread on social media and by opposition media such as Iran International.
He explained that we did not expect a university professor to speak in such a manner, and the dignity of a university professor is higher than making false statements. During our team’s management period, we have had no dismissals. Dr. Malekzadeh himself is over 70 years old and has been a professor at Tehran University of Medical Sciences for over 40 years. Essentially, when a professor has been with the university for over 40 years, staying at the university requires a permit.
