Claim by Tehran’s Deputy Mayor: The CEO of Metro has not resigned, he is on hourly leave
The Deputy of Transportation and Traffic of Tehran Municipality explained the absence of the CEO of Tehran Metro Operations Company in today’s council meeting by saying Mr. Dorosti is on hourly leave.
Following the absence of Masoud Dorosti, CEO of Tehran Metro Operations Company, in today’s Tuesday meeting of the Islamic City Council of Tehran to provide explanations about recent incidents in the metro, and in response to comments by Mehdi Chamran, the council’s chairman, regarding the resignation of the CEO due to criticism from council members, Mohsen Hormozi, Deputy of Transportation and Traffic of Tehran Municipality, explained the reason for Dorosti’s absence on the sidelines of the council session.
In response to why Dorosti, the CEO of the Metro Company, was absent, he said that yesterday Mr. Dorosti was present at his workplace, and currently, he is on hourly leave, dismissing the resignation claim.
Hormozi, in response to another question about whether the council had not invited him to attend the council session and provide necessary explanations regarding the metro’s malfunction, reiterated that Dorosti is on hourly leave.
Mohsen Hormozi, after giving these responses, left the council chamber.
