Claim of Shooting at Mohsen Shekari's Arresting Officer Denied

The claim of shooting the arresting officer of Mohsen Shekari was denied

The spokesperson of the Islamic Republic’s Judiciary denied the statements of Abdolreza Davari, a former advisor to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who claimed that the person who arrested Mohsen Shekari was shot.

Masoud Setayeshi, the spokesperson of the Judiciary, in a press conference on Tuesday, April 11, in response to a question about a tweet from Abdolreza Davari, said if I had access to Mr. Davari, I would ask what the source of your report is.

Eight days ago, Abdolreza Davari wrote in a tweet that the person who arrested Mohsen Shekari was shot three times.

Following the publication of this tweet, the name of the person who arrested Mohsen Shekari, Ali Esmaeili, known as Ali the Cat, was mentioned on social networks like Twitter.

Mohsen Shekari was the first protester to be sentenced to death after being arrested during the recent nationwide protests on charges of blocking the street and injuring a Basij member, labeled as an enemy of God, and his sentence was carried out on the morning of Thursday, December 8.
