Clash Over Mandatory Hijab at University of Tehran

Today, on April 24, following the students’ resistance against the hijab warning and the attempt to confiscate a student’s card and search a bag at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran, the university’s security resorted to beating and detaining two students for several hours in the security booth. With the gathering of students in front of the security booth and their collective resistance, these two students were released a few hours later.
