Closed session of the parliament to discuss the dollar price
The Islamic Consultative Assembly in Iran has held a closed session to examine the unstable currency situation and the rise in gold coin prices.
It is planned for Mohammad Mokhber, the First Vice President, Ehsan Khandozi, the Minister of Economic Affairs, and Mohammadreza Farzin, the Governor of the Central Bank, to attend this session.
Last week, the dollar price in Tehran’s unofficial currency market reached a historic high, surpassing 50,000 tomans, and the price of the new design gold coin exceeded 30 million tomans.
This closed session was supposed to be held last Wednesday, but it was announced that due to the death of the Central Bank Governor’s mother-in-law and the First Vice President being occupied, it would be postponed for three days and held on the 6th of Esfand.
After this session concludes, representatives will begin reviewing the details of the 1402 budget bill.
