Closure of Refah store due to expelling a morality enforcer
A Refah store in the city of Kerman has been closed due to what has been described as inappropriate behavior by security towards a morality enforcer.
Reports indicate that a customer at the Refah chain store in Kerman, upon witnessing an indecency, engaged in verbal promotion of virtue, but instead of supporting the enforcer, the store’s security and staff expelled them.
In recent days, numerous images have been published showing confrontations between women without headscarves and morality enforcers, strangers who ask these women to observe the government’s desired dress code.
Mehdi Bakhshi, the public prosecutor and revolutionary court head of Kerman province, stated that the store’s staff also behaved inappropriately towards the enforcer’s wife and young child.
Mr. Bakhshi added that this action was taken in support of lawful morality enforcers and in line with the announced policies on hijab and modesty.
Meanwhile, in another instance, when a shopkeeper supported his customer without a headscarf against an attack from a morality enforcer and his shop was closed, the local people appreciated him with flowers.
