Cooperation of 3 Businessmen in Canada with the Islamic Republic

The Canadian news network CBC announced on Wednesday, February 15, that their investigation shows three businessmen accused of cooperating with the Islamic Republic of Iran are living in Canada.

These individuals are accused of concealing hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to the Islamic Republic to circumvent U.S. sanctions. The CBC has identified them as businessmen active in Canada who market themselves as leaders in the real estate market.

Salim Hanara, whom CBC has accused of cooperating with the Islamic Republic, describes himself on his personal website as the CEO of a private mortgage company in Toronto and as a top name in his industry.

Khalil Hanara, for whom no clear explanation of his family relation to Salim is given, describes himself on social media as a real estate agent based in Thornhill, Ontario.

Saeed Sam Torab Abtahi, who is also accused of cooperating with the Islamic Republic, is introduced on the company’s website as the vice president of a private lending company associated with Salim Hanara.
